Emeishan Hengbang Le Méridien Resort「峨眉山恒邦艾美度假酒店」

Review

This trip to Sichuan lasted 12 days and we stayed in quite a few hotels. If I had to pick the one I was most satisfied with, I would unhesitatingly choose this Le Méridien in Emeishan.

First, the location is really convenient. The hotel is about 700 meters from Baoguo Temple, and it’s right in the area where Emeishan’s main street and snacks are concentrated. At night, it’s very convenient to go out to eat or take a walk.

This time we booked a GG Bond-themed family room. My first impression upon entering was: it’s really big! I feel it’s around seventy to eighty square meters, very comfortable for staying with children. The room has a children’s play area and even a slide. The space is spacious, and kids basically start playing as soon as they go in.

What I’m especially satisfied with is the swimming pool. Our room on this floor was very close to the pool, maybe only twenty or thirty meters away; just a few steps out the door and you’re there. The indoor pool is large, and the experience of swimming with children is great. Outside there are also outdoor soaking pools. When the weather is good, you can even see the golden summit of Mount Emei in the distance, which feels quite special.

Breakfast also deserves praise.

We ate it for two consecutive days. The variety was really rich—Chinese, Western, pastries, fruits, desserts, all kinds. In two days we barely repeated anything. For a resort hotel, I think this breakfast standard is already very high.

Finally, service. In hotels, hardware is one aspect, but service response speed is also very important. During these two days, whenever we needed anything and called housekeeping, they basically delivered it quickly. We never ran into a situation that made us anxious or kept us waiting long.

After staying throughout the 12-day Sichuan trip, this one is indeed the one that left the best impression and the most satisfactory overall experience.

Of course the price isn’t cheap, but if you’re traveling to Mount Emei, especially as a family with children and with sufficient accommodation budget, I really think you can choose this place directly.

Location, room, family-friendly facilities, swimming pool, breakfast, service—basically no obvious shortcomings.

My overall rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It’s a place I’d be willing to stay at again next time I come to Mount Emei.
