Found another riverside park in Foshan with few people and a comfortable vibe 🌿 After lunch today, I thought since it was on the way, I’d drop by for a stroll. I didn’t expect to discover another really pleasant spot—Dongping Shiwan Wetland Park. It’s also a wetland park by the river, and it feels even newer than Banyue Island. Most importantly, there really aren’t many people. Driving here is also very convenient; the parking lot wasn’t even full, completely unlike the feeling of going to a popular park on weekends where finding a parking spot takes forever.
What is this place especially good for? Setting up a tent, enjoying the river breeze, and soaking up the sun. ☀️ When I arrived, I already saw quite a few people camping here—some families with kids, and some groups of three to five friends setting up tents together. If you’re not in a hurry, finding a spot to sit and enjoy the breeze is quite pleasant. Walking slowly around the inside, I noticed there seemed to be traces of an old dock, and you can still see some heavy lifting equipment left from the past, so compared to an ordinary city park, it has a bit of an industrial relic feel.
I think the biggest advantages here come down to three things:

🌊 By the river, with pleasant scenery and fresh air
⛺ Great for camping, sunbathing, and zoning out
And most importantly—the park is free!
But there’s one thing to remind everyone:
👉 The park is free, but parking is not.
If you happen to finish a meal nearby, or if you don’t want to go to those crowded popular attractions on weekends, this place is really worth a walk. You don’t need to arrange any special itinerary; just bring a tent, some snacks, and find a spot by the river to sit for an afternoon. Sometimes the most comfortable way to spend a weekend is to find a place with fewer people and do nothing at all. 😌
