First time trying JPG; fruit juice + coffee is really not to my taste ☕️🥭. Today I came to MixC World for dinner, and when I went downstairs I happened to see JPG on the outdoor lower-ground floor. I had actually seen several in Guangzhou before, but because I always thought it was just an ordinary coffee shop, I never particularly wanted to try it.

Today I happened to pass by, so I thought I’d try a cup. I ordered their Tropical Breeze. New users get 15% off, so one cup ended up being a bit over 21 yuan. The idea behind this drink is actually quite special; it’s not a traditional Americano, but a combination of coffee concentrate and fruit juice. Mine had mango and pineapple, giving an overall feeling of ‘iced Americano + tropical fruit.’

But honestly, after the first sip, I found it a bit hard to accept.

The coffee itself has a slight bitterness, and then the sweet-and-sour taste of mango and pineapple, with several flavors mixed together. The layers are quite complex, but for me personally, it always feels a little strange and I’m not used to it.

Probably also because I usually prefer black tea + fruit juice, or green tea + fruit juice; tea and fruit blend more naturally.

So for this cup, I think it falls into:

👉 Give it a try if you’re curious, but I probably won’t repurchase.

Of course, everyone’s taste is different. Friends who like trying new things and fruit coffee can still give it a try.
