Wang Steak (Foshan MixC World)「王品牛排(佛山万象天地店)」

Review

Recently, Foshan MixC World has really been so popular. Scrolling through ** and Dianping, you can see news about its opening almost everywhere. Today I happened to come here to take a look. As a steak lover, when I saw Wang Steak opened here, of course I couldn’t miss it. Actually, Wang Steak and I have a kind of ‘sense of age’.

About 20 years ago, I ate at Wang Steak several times in Shanghai.

Back then, it left a deep impression on me: they only take a very small cut from a whole cow, focusing on refinement and ceremony. As a result, 20 years later, walking into this Wang Steak in MixC World, my first reaction was: ‘Is this still the Wang Steak from before?’ The decor has really been upgraded a lot. The moment you enter, it’s a very refined Western restaurant atmosphere; the lighting, space, and table settings all have texture. The most obvious is the service. The ratio of service staff on site is very high, basically someone is always attending to you, and they are dressed very decently.

This time at noon I didn’t eat too much and just ordered a set meal. Bread and drinks were included, and the whole dining process was still quite ceremonial.

🥩 Here comes the highlight—the steak! The steak looked good when it arrived, and after cutting it open, the meat juices were quite abundant.

The mouthfeel is:

tender, fragrant, juicy.

And there was a heated metal rod on the side, allowing you to control the doneness of the steak afterward. I think this design is quite interesting and friendly for people with different doneness preferences. I also ordered a portion of foie gras, which was pan-fried very nicely—crispy outside and tender inside—and went well with the steak.

After finishing this meal, my biggest feeling was actually: Wang Steak is really no longer the Wang Steak I remembered from 20 years ago. The environment is more refined, the service is more attentive, and the overall dining experience has clearly improved.

Before, when I ate at Wang Steak, I remembered the steak;

now, when I eat at Wang Steak again, I remember the entire dining experience.

So this time was truly a ‘re-acquaintance with Wang Steak.’ If you have eaten at Wang Steak before, I actually recommend you try it again. Maybe you’ll also get that feeling of ‘so it has become like this now.’
