Lately, this kind of ‘fresh-ingredient BBQ’ seems quite popular. I previously ate at Chuan Xiaobai in Jinbo Center, and recently another one called Chuan Xiaoka opened in Pingzhou. They seem to follow the same route—emphasizing freshness, and the ingredients are all visible.

Today I happened to pass by here, and it was late-night snack time. I hadn’t eaten much for dinner, so I thought I’d come in for an extra meal. It happened to be the last day of the National Day holiday, and there weren’t that many people in the shop. I picked out some beef, chicken wings, and such that looked relatively fresh, and shortly after ordering, they came out one after another.

In actual eating, the freshness was still okay, basically matching my expectations for this kind of fresh-ingredient BBQ. But what I liked even more was that it wasn’t so crowded here. Sitting outside, enjoying the breeze, eating BBQ while scrolling on my phone, no need to queue, and no need to talk loudly in a crowded environment—the whole pace was especially comfortable. Actually now when eating, I increasingly like this feeling: fewer people, quieter, more leisurely, which feels more like a late-night snack. Sometimes when a place is too crowded and noisy, even if the food is great, sitting there feels exhausting.

So if you also like this kind of relaxed BBQ atmosphere, I think you can give this place a try. I’ll come again next time I pass by.
