During the National Day holiday, the highway tolls were free, so I thought I’d go to Qingyuan to soak in a hot spring. I drove all the way from Foshan and arrived at this newly opened hot spring in less than two hours.
Qingyuan’s hot springs have always been quite well-known, and today I came to experience one for myself. The biggest impression of this place is that it’s ‘new’—the facilities inside are all relatively new, the environment is nicely done, and overall cleanliness is quite good.
During the National Day holiday, the ticket was 148 yuan, which is indeed a bit more expensive than usual, but after soaking, I think it was still worth it. We soaked on and off for about four to five hours. Of course, we didn’t stay in the water the whole time—we’d soak for a while, come out to rest, then go back in, because staying in a hot spring continuously is actually quite tiring.
Inside, there is free drinking water, some tea drinks, and fruit to eat, though the fruit selection isn’t particularly large.
What I liked is that even though it was the National Day holiday, there weren’t as many people as I expected, so soaking was quite comfortable. The hot spring is in a valley, the surrounding environment is relatively quiet, and the air is also nice.
If you also want to find a place to relax during the National Day holiday, this one is worth trying. Especially if you like hot springs that are newer, have a comfortable environment, and don’t have too many people, you can consider it.
