Review

Today I went to Yingyue Lake Huanyu City, and it happened to be the National Day holiday. By mealtime, most restaurants had long queues. After looking around, I found that this one had no wait, so I went in to try it.

This is a newly opened Hong Kong-style fast food restaurant, mainly serving common Hong Kong-style set meals. I bought a 29 yuan voucher, which included a black pepper pork chop and a cold lemon cola. For this price, it really isn’t expensive.

First, the pork chop: the taste was actually okay, and the black pepper flavor was quite noticeable, but you could tell this pork chop probably wasn’t made fresh from raw pork—the texture and meat had a clear pre-prepared feel. If you are someone who is picky about ingredients, you’d probably be able to tell.

The cold lemon cola was just average. Traditional Hong Kong-style cold lemon tea usually uses salted lemon, but they use regular lemon here, so the overall taste lacks a bit of that Hong Kong-style cha chaan teng feel. However, the cup is quite large and it’s quite refreshing and helps cut the grease.

After all, today is the National Day holiday, so the restaurant was quite busy, with people coming in and out frequently, which shows the foot traffic in this location is quite good.

Overall, the taste is average and the price is not expensive. If you just want a simple Hong Kong-style fast meal, it’s okay. Based on this positioning, I personally give it about 80 points—passable.

However, if you care a lot about whether food is made to order or whether ingredients are fresh, this place may not quite meet your expectations.
