Linwei Noodle House「临味面馆」

Review

I came back to check in at Linwei Noodle House again today! Last time I had their pork intestine and kidney noodles, which left a deep impression, so this time I wanted to change things up and try their eel and kidney noodles.

This one I customized myself. It originally came with shrimp, but I swapped the shrimp for pork kidney. Because their toppings are all stir-fried to order, and I happened to arrive right at mealtime with five or six bowls ahead of me, I waited about 20 minutes.

As soon as it arrived, it looked really tempting; the eel and pork kidney both looked especially fresh. The eel was crispy outside and tender inside, fragrant and tender with every bite; the pork kidney had no gamey smell at all, was cleaned very well, and had a texture that was both tender and crisp. I really got more and more hooked the more I ate.

In the end I polished off the whole bowl, not a bit left.

Actually, today I originally thought MixC was right nearby and by all rights I should have gone to the mall to check out those popular restaurants, but after thinking it over, I still felt the flavors at Linwei Noodle House suited my taste better. So sometimes, there’s really no need to chase after internet-famous places; small local restaurants like this that cook seriously are more likely to surprise you.
