Review

For Mid-Autumn Festival, a friend treated me to dinner here. I didn’t expect the parking lot to be nearly full as soon as I drove in—business is really good on holidays.

We had booked a table in advance, but when we arrived the previous party hadn’t left yet, and we waited outside for about 20 more minutes. After actually sitting down, the biggest test of patience was the speed of service: we waited about 45 minutes for the first dish, and the rest of the dishes came out slowly one after another.

Later I learned that they usually seem to have only one chef. That’s probably fine for normal customer flow, but today it was almost full, and one kitchen really couldn’t keep up. I can understand this happening on holidays, but waiting this long definitely took a toll on the overall experience.

Setting aside the speed of service, the food itself was fine. The Northeastern dishes were quite authentic, the flavors were on point, the ingredients were good, and the portions matched the usual style of Northeastern cuisine. It’s great for sharing among several people.

So my advice is: if you want to come and try it, choose a regular day if possible. When it’s less crowded, the experience should be much better. On holidays, especially big occasions like this, unless you don’t mind waiting, you might want to think twice.
