Review

After finishing the Laoma Trotter, my taste buds had been awakened and I still wanted more. I happened to see a skewer restaurant across the street, so I decided to give it a try, mainly because I wanted to eat their tripe.

We ordered a red oil pot base for 38 yuan, plus two portions of tripe, one portion of duck intestine, and casually grabbed some skewers and vegetables. The final bill was about 130 yuan, which for two people I think is reasonable and not expensive.

The tripe and duck intestines were relatively fresh; after blanching for a few seconds, the texture was very crisp. The red oil broth was spicy and fragrant enough but not just a dead heat; it became more fragrant the more we ate. Although the other skewers were just grabbed at random without deliberately choosing, the overall quality was consistent and nothing disappointed.

Actually, we chose this place on a whim without planning ahead, but the overall experience was quite good. If you are shopping near Taikoo Li and want some hot spicy skewers, you can confidently try this place. It’s the kind of restaurant that won’t let you down.
