This is a newly opened restaurant near Jade Ware Street, right next to Wudou Bridge. I’ve passed by it several times, and today I finally came to give it a try.
Since I was dining alone, I ordered a serving of steamed spare ribs with fermented black beans. I browsed the menu; overall, the dishes are quite homestyle and common, without any deliberate fancy creations, leaning more toward a neighborhood eatery for everyday meals.
It was peak dining time, so the kitchen was quite busy, and I waited about 20 minutes for this dish to arrive. However, when it came, I was quite satisfied with the quality. The spare ribs were fresh, not frozen, with tender and springy meat—you could clearly taste the freshness. The taro underneath was also steamed until very soft and glutinous, fully absorbing the juices from the ribs, making it great with rice.
A portion of steamed spare ribs with fermented black beans accompanied by a bowl of rice was just right for one person; both the portion and the flavor were quite suitable. As for the price, you can refer to the menu photo I took; overall, the pricing is quite reasonable.
If you’re just looking for a clean restaurant with steady flavors suitable for daily dining near Yuqi Street, I think this place is worth a try. It should gradually become a popular canteen for nearby residents.
