For dinner tonight, I suddenly craved some clear broth style beef brisket and offal. I opened Dianping and remembered this Huazhou-style fresh offal place in Pingnan. I had been here once before, and coming back, it still feels pretty good.

I ordered two skewers of beef brisket, one of tripe, two of beef tongue, plus a bowl of noodles, all for 37 yuan. My appetite was good today, so I ordered a bit more generously.

You can tell their beef brisket and offal are fresh, not frozen. The texture is tender and springy, with plenty of beefy aroma, and the clear broth is very savory—comforting to eat. If you like this kind of authentic, unadulterated Huazhou offal, this place won’t disappoint.

Though the shop’s environment is quite plain, with no decor to speak of, the taste is spot on and the prices are affordable. For a friend who wants a steaming bowl of offal and brisket noodles, it’s a neighborhood joint worth revisiting. Personally, I’d rate it around 80 out of 100; next time I crave offal, I’ll likely come back.
