After dinner today, I wanted to take a walk to digest, so I drove to Nanfeng Ancient Kiln in Foshan. I originally thought that after 5:30 PM, entry would be free, but when I got to the gate, I found out that because there was a performance that evening, the scenic area was charging admission again, at 25 yuan per person. I didn’t manage to “get a freebie” this time, so I just took a leisurely walk around the outside, which still had its own charm.
Around 8 PM, there weren’t many tourists here; the overall foot traffic was only about twenty to thirty percent of usual, making it especially pleasant to stroll around. Nanfeng Ancient Kiln itself is a representative ceramic culture scenic spot in Foshan, filled with pottery art, ancient buildings, and Lingnan-style elements, exuding antique beauty and a strong traditional Chinese flavor. Even without entering the core area, just walking around the perimeter allowed me to feel a deep historical and cultural atmosphere.
On regular days without performances, Nanfeng Ancient Kiln is open for free after 5:30 PM every day, while daytime admission is 25 yuan. I suggest that if you just want to take a walk, take photos, and enjoy the nighttime ancient architecture vibe, you can come in the evening on weekdays. You’ll save on the ticket, and there will be fewer people, making the experience more pleasant. I’m also planning to come back next time when there’s no performance to slowly explore the whole area.
