When it was time to eat, I wanted to try a new place nearby. I noticed a newly opened stewed soup shop on Jade Street.
To be honest, there aren’t many shops on Jade Street specializing in stewed soups—probably only three or four—so I was curious about the new one. Today I ordered a set meal: a bowl of meatball soup, plus a portion of pickled vegetable meat patty, with self-serve rice.
Overall, I think their quality is relatively high among similar shops. The soup looked clear, not heavily seasoned, probably steamed, and tasted clean and refreshing with umami—very pleasant.
The pickled vegetable meat patty also exceeded expectations. It was a large piece, with good texture and seasoning. Personally, I think it’s even better than the meat patty at the nearby Dade Restaurant. Paired with self-serve rice, the portion was more than enough.
In summary, I can recommend this place. The environment, quality, and value for money are all decent, especially the soup and meat patty. I’ll come again if I want a light and comforting meal.
