Wuhu Noodle Dao has been in Pingzhou for many years, and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve eaten here. Every time I come, I order a small portion of sour cabbage fish and a bowl of rice.
I think it offers great value—the small sour cabbage fish is only 33 yuan, and most of the time they use live fish, so the meat is tender and fresh, not like frozen fish. What I like most is that the seasoning is restrained—not overly oily or spicy—with a balanced sourness, spiciness, and saltiness that makes it easy to keep eating.
Sometimes when I’m busy or don’t know what to eat, I come here for a meal. It’s a reliable old shop that never disappoints. Having been open for 13 years in Pingzhou says a lot.
