Review

Today I was running errands in Sanshan with a friend, and by the time we finished it was already 8:30 p.m., well past dinner time. We found an old restaurant nearby that looked like it had been open for many years. I figured if it could operate locally for so long, the food shouldn’t be bad, so we went in to try it.

When we arrived, the large dining room had only a few tables of customers left. Fortunately, the boss said we could still order, so we sat down to eat.

Based on our tastes, we ordered white-cut chicken, five-grain fish, beef with salted turnip, and a vegetable dish. Originally we wanted to try the lao ji (tossed chicken), but unfortunately it was a bit late and the chef was reluctant to make it. The restaurant also gave us a complimentary fried wonton. Not long after ordering, all the dishes came out one after another; the serving speed was quite fast.

To be honest, I was really satisfied with this meal! The dishes were all flavorful and the overall quality was solid; none of them was particularly disappointing. Although the restaurant’s decor and atmosphere are quite ordinary and not a refined dining place, judging solely by the taste of the dishes, I think it deserves praise.

Sometimes finding a restaurant is like this: you don’t necessarily need to chase after fancy decor or internet fame. Honestly cooking good food is the key to keeping customers.

This old restaurant in Sanshan has been operating for so many years, so it clearly has some real skills. If you happen to be nearby and want a dependable place to eat, feel free to come and try it!
