Henan Restaurant「河南饭店」

Review

I’ve passed by this Henan restaurant several times. It’s always been in the factory area of Jade Street, with a very plain storefront and basically no decoration. Today I had some free time and went in to try it. I ordered a bowl of Henan huimian noodles for 10 yuan, and asked the boss to add some beef for an extra 15 yuan, totaling 25 yuan.

The noodles were hand-pulled, and you could tell when they were served. They were chewy and had a good texture, and the beef portion was decent. However, compared to the huimian noodles I’ve had at other Henan restaurants before, this bowl was a bit smaller in quantity.

I also took a photo of the menu on the wall. Looking at the prices, I personally don’t think it’s particularly cheap, but everyone’s spending standards are different. Overall, the taste is acceptable. If you’re passing by and want to try it, that’s fine, but I don’t think it’s worth making a special trip just for this.
