Today is the weekend. After my daughter finished homework after school, she kept saying she wanted to go rock climbing, so we came to this nearby bouldering gym. We’ve been here a few times before; it’s convenient to bring the kid on weekends since it’s close.
But today there were many people, and the coaches were busy. We waited about half an hour. Later we bought a group package for 246 yuan, which includes professional coaching.
Strictly speaking, this kind without a safety rope isn’t traditional rock climbing; it’s more like ‘bouldering’. The walls are relatively low, with soft mats below for protection. The coach briefly explained basic safety knowledge and techniques, then let the kid try and improvise on her own.
It’s clear this place has been open for many years; many regular customers bring their kids, indicating a stable customer base. Overall, it felt good. The coach was serious and kept an eye on the kid’s movements and safety.
Also, the group coupon came with a free McDonald’s meal worth over 30 yuan. While my daughter was climbing and burning energy, I ate McDonald’s nearby, waiting for her to finish. This kind of weekend arrangement is quite relaxing and comfortable.
