That day, a friend came from Shanghai, so I took him to this Leizhou lamb hotpot place. We bought their group coupon, which cost over a hundred yuan and included 3 jin of lamb. At that price, the value for money was really high.
The lamb was first braised in a pressure cooker for about 20 minutes. Right after braising, the texture was a bit firm, but after simmering in the pot for another half hour or so, the lamb became tender and flavorful, and the overall texture improved a lot.
Overall, the experience was quite good, especially with the group coupon price—great value, suitable for a leisurely meal with friends.
However, if you order lamb by the jin, it costs over seventy to over eighty yuan per jin, so you might need to think twice before ordering.
