This Putian cuisine restaurant has been on Jade Street for many years. It’s one of the more consistent places for Fujian food in the area, specializing in Putian braised noodles, rice noodles, and some home-style Fujian dishes.
I’ve had their braised noodles many times before and always recommended them. This time I switched it up and ordered a bowl of braised pork rice noodles. At 20 yuan, the portion was generous. The braised pork was made fresh, tender and smooth, with a sweet broth and pleasant rice noodles. It was very comforting.
At lunchtime, the place was almost full, showing that many are regulars from the neighborhood. The food quality is consistent—you can refer to my photos. It’s not mind-blowing, but for Putian cuisine in Pingzhou, it’s above average. Plus, it’s family-run, adding a touch of home cooking.
If you’re near Jade Street and want a change from Cantonese food, craving some Fujian flavors, I think this place is worth recommending.
