Review

This restaurant has been open on Yuqi Street for a while. I’ve passed by several times before but never had the chance to try it. Today I had some free time, so I came specifically to have a meal.

Overall, it seems to focus on affordable, freshly cooked dishes. It’s not the type that uses pre-made dishes; instead, you order and they cook it on the spot. Looking at the menu, the cheapest dish is only 15 yuan, and it’s freshly stir-fried. At this price, it’s really competitive and can directly rival many nearby fast food and stir-fry shops.

I ordered their shrimp paste and fermented bean curd clay pot cauliflower, which was only 15 yuan. Unfortunately, it smelled so good when it arrived that I finished it before I could take a photo. The taste was indeed good—the aroma of shrimp paste and fermented bean curd was strong, and the cauliflower had that wok hei, making it very appetizing with rice. At this price and quality, honestly, there’s nothing to complain about.

For 15 yuan, you get a freshly cooked dish—what more could you ask for?

This kind of small restaurant doesn’t have much of a promotion budget. Its survival relies on taste, price, and word-of-mouth from the neighborhood. We should support these small shops that cook seriously. Overall, I highly recommend it for a simple daily meal.
