Today I received a free meal coupon for Dadong Yakitori, and since it was on my way, I decided to try it. It was a 109-yuan set meal. I arrived right at dinner time, and the place was quite full—almost all seats taken. Business seems good.
I ordered pretty much all their signature yakitori, plus an extra beef rib skewer. Overall, I found the beef rib, chicken tendon, and chicken skin to be the standout items. Especially the chicken skin—it was grilled very crispy and fragrant. The beef rib was also well-cooked with good texture.
You can tell their ingredients are fresh, which sets them apart from ordinary street-side barbecue. The sauce and seasoning are refined—not too heavy, but flavorful enough. The overall execution is solid.
One thing, though: each skewer is not very large. I spent over 100 yuan and didn’t feel particularly full. So if you have a big appetite, I’d recommend ordering more skewers or adding some staple food.
Overall, this yakitori place is worth recommending—good environment, ingredients, and seasoning. It’s suitable for small gatherings with friends or when you want some refined grilled food.
