Today is May Day, and I came to Chuan Xiaobai for a meal with friends again. There were really a lot of people—we waited in line for about half an hour. But it was a good chance to catch up with this friend I hadn’t seen in a while, and time seemed to slow down.
We ordered a lot of skewers. Their food is consistently good—fresh ingredients, great taste, no misses. The lively atmosphere, combined with the familiar flavors, really gave a festive feel.
Despite the crowds, this place is still worth coming back to.
