Today, I came to Shunde on business with two friends and stopped by this Shunde restaurant along the way. The overall experience was quite pleasant. The environment was clean and elegant, leaning towards a fine dining style, suitable for small gatherings with friends or bringing clients.
We ordered their signature dishes—yusheng (raw fish salad), chicken pot, shredded fish soup, and fish belly bones. Each dish was meticulously prepared, with exquisite plating and attention to detail. The shredded fish soup, in particular, was smooth and delicate, with a prominent umami flavor; the fish belly bones were cooked just right, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, showcasing great skill. Overall, it follows the path of an “upgraded version of Shunde cuisine,” preserving the original flavors while adding a touch of refinement.
In terms of taste, there was hardly anything to criticize. If we’re talking purely about the quality of the dishes, I think it can already be compared to the level of Zhuroupo Private Kitchen.
However, objectively speaking, there is room for improvement in value for money. If the prices were a bit more affordable, this restaurant would be even more competitive.
Overall evaluation:
Suitable for diners who pursue quality and fine presentation; if you’re trying Shunde cuisine for the first time, it’s also a good introductory choice.
